I have been looking at all different types of teaser trailers and all have very similar feature such as:
A voiceover - I think this is a good way to grasp the comedy and help give the audience ideas of what will be in the film!
- Edits are quick and the length of each cut is very short. So the pace is very fast!
- There are around 70-80 takes!!
-music and sound is upbeat
-the institution appears before the trailer
-music often cuts out for a slightly longer take for the audience to hear the punch line!
- I also noticed almost every shot is either a mid-shot or a close-up which means facial expression andbody language are going to be very important!
These are the features I have discovered, and I identified all of these in hit comedy 'dumb and dumberer' below;

ReplyDeletethis is useful as it stands, Jess but you do need to conduct a close textual analysis of all trailers considered - by that I mean breaking it down in terms of camera work, transitions, take length, lighting, sound, mise-en-scene
